Family and Community Engagement

In anticipation of Hispanic Heritage Month and the Franklin Family Block Party, Dr. Gray visits dozens of classes at Franklin Steam Academy to share the Mexican and Central American tradition of making Papel Picado with FSA students and Staff.  Students used knowledge and skills in art, math, and history to  create hundreds of banners that adorned the halls with welcoming colors for the September Block Party-Open house.  You can view the presentation here: https://docs.google.com/presen... and view some footage of a papel picado workshop here: https://animoto.com/play/1PoiD...
